Electronic Cheque Processing, or ECP, is a method of depositing and withdrawing to and from your ECash Direct account from your US bank account using pre-authorized debits and credits. To sign up with ECash Direct to make deposits to your ECash Direct account, choose the DEPOSIT button from your ECash Direct screen and click on BY ELECTRONIC cheque. Click the button marked SIGN UP NOW. Your Web browser will launch and you will be sent the ECash Direct Web site. Click the link to get the ECP deposit and withdrawal agreement, and print the document out. You must correctly fill in all the information that is on this form; including your ECash Direct account number, your name, your bank's name and address, and the type of account. Read the agreement carefully, then date and sign it. If the account is a joint account, all names and signatures are required. Send the agreement and a VOID cheque from the same account to: ECash Direct Your ECP account will be activated seven days after the agreement has been received. To make a deposit, simply return to the ECP deposit window. Fill in the amount you wish to deposit and click OK. The funds will added to your account as soon as the request is received by ECash Direct. There is a predetermined limit to the amount you can deposit every seven days. Funds will be available seven days after they are deposited. If you have made deposits to your ECash Direct account via ECP, you are automatically eligible to withdraw funds with ECP If you have not, you will need to sign up first. To sign up with ECash Direct to make ECP withdrawals from your ECash Direct account, choose WITHDRAW from the ECash Direct window and choose BY ELECTRONIC CHEQUE. Click the button marked SIGN UP NOW. Your Web browser will launch and you will be sent to ECash Direct's Web site. Click the link to get the ECP Withdrawal Only agreement, and print the document out. You must correctly fill out all the information on this form, including your ECash Direct account number, your name, your bank's name and address, your bank account number and the type of account. Read the agreement carefully, then date and sign it. If the account is a joint account, all names and signature are required. Send the agreement, and a VOID cheque from the same account to: ECash Direct Your withdrawal only ECP account will be activated immediately after the agreement is received. To make a withdrawal, return to the ECP withdrawal window. Fill in your PIN number (if applicable) and the amount you wish to withdraw and click OK. Please note that you can only withdraw using ECP after you have withdrawn the total amount you have deposited to your ECash Direct account via credit card back to your credit card.
